The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संत्यक्तं भवता राज्यं सदारधनबान्धवम् ।
ब्रह्मणेव जगत्सर्गव्यापारः स्वनिशागमे ॥ ८ ॥

saṃtyaktaṃ bhavatā rājyaṃ sadāradhanabāndhavam |
brahmaṇeva jagatsargavyāpāraḥ svaniśāgame || 8 ||

You have O prince! forsaken your princedom together with your princess, riches, relatives and friends, and have rested in your resignation; as Brahma the lord of creatures, rested at the night of cessation of the act of his creation.
