The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

निश्चयेन हरिर्येन विविधाचारकारिणा ।
योनिष्ववतरत्युर्व्यां तत्तज्ज्ञत्वमुदाहृतम् ॥ ९ ॥

niścayena hariryena vividhācārakāriṇā |
yoniṣvavataratyurvyāṃ tattajjñatvamudāhṛtam || 9 ||

It was by his reliance on this certain truth, that Hari was led to the performance of his various acts in his repeated births or incarnations.
