The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.2.21

वैराग्याभ्यासवशतस्तथा तत्त्वावबोधनात् ।
संसारस्तीर्यते तेन तेष्वेवाभ्यासमाहर ॥ २१ ॥

vairāgyābhyāsavaśatastathā tattvāvabodhanāt |
saṃsārastīryate tena teṣvevābhyāsamāhara || 21 ||

Whereas it is the habit of dispassionateness, and the knowledge of truth; whereby we are enabled to ford over the boisterous ocean of the world, you must learn therefore, O Rama! to practice and gain these betimes.
