रेचके नूनमभ्यस्ते प्राणे स्फारे खमागते ।
न स्पृशत्यङ्गरन्ध्राणि प्राणस्पन्दो निरुद्ध्यते ॥ २२ ॥

recake nūnamabhyaste prāṇe sphāre khamāgate |
na spṛśatyaṅgarandhrāṇi prāṇaspando niruddhyate || 22 ||

The practice of rechaka or respiring out, serves to purge out the crudities of the body, and by leaving the nostrils untouched, the vital breath is suppressed altogether.
