The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
सर्वदा सर्वसंस्थेन सर्वेण सह तिष्ठता ।
सर्वकर्मरतेनापि मनः कार्यं विजानता ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
sarvadā sarvasaṃsthena sarveṇa saha tiṣṭhatā |
sarvakarmaratenāpi manaḥ kāryaṃ vijānatā || 1 ||

Vasishtha continued:—Though remaining in all company, and doing all the duties of life; and although employed in all the acts; yet the wise man watches the movements of his mind.
