The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीराम उवाच ।
कीदृशो भगवन्सङ्गः कथं बन्धाय वा नृणाम् ।
कश्च मोक्षाय कथितः कथं वैष चिकित्स्यते ॥ १ ॥

kīdṛśo bhagavansaṅgaḥ kathaṃ bandhāya vā nṛṇām |
kaśca mokṣāya kathitaḥ kathaṃ vaiṣa cikitsyate || 1 ||

Rama said:—Tell me, sir, what are those connexions which become the bondages of men, and how are they to be avoided;as also what is that congeniality that leads to their emancipation here.
