The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.64.54

अखिलमिदमनन्तमात्मतत्त्वं दृढपरिणामिनि चेतसि स्थितेऽन्तः ।
बहिरुपशमिते चराचरात्मा स्वयमनुभूयत एव देवदेवः ॥ ५४ ॥

akhilamidamanantamātmatattvaṃ dṛḍhapariṇāmini cetasi sthite'ntaḥ |
bahirupaśamite carācarātmā svayamanubhūyata eva devadevaḥ || 54 ||

The knowledge of the soul, comprehends in itself the whole totality and infinity together; and resides in the invariable steadiness of the mind. It is by the shutting out the internal and external from the senses and the mind, that the lord of lords, the divine soul appears to our intelligence.
