Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

महाश्वभ्रीव गम्भीरा दुःखदा वासनाश्रिता ।
त्वयैषा बत चित्तेति नैनामनुसराम्यहम् ॥ ३४ ॥

mahāśvabhrīva gambhīrā duḥkhadā vāsanāśritā |
tvayaiṣā bata citteti naināmanusarāmyaham || 34 ||
