The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.5.10

आद्यन्तासन्मये यस्य वस्तुन्यासज्जते मनः ।
तस्य मुग्धपशोर्जन्तोर्विवेकः केन जन्यते ॥ १० ॥

ādyantāsanmaye yasya vastunyāsajjate manaḥ |
tasya mugdhapaśorjantorvivekaḥ kena janyate || 10 ||

He whose mind is attached to aught, which is unreal both at first and at last, is either an infatuated fool or a brute animal, that can never be brought to reason.
