The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चिन्तयामास हा कष्टं किमहं सूचिता गता ।
सूक्ष्मास्मि हतशक्तिश्च अपि ग्रासो न माति च ॥ ३ ॥

cintayāmāsa hā kaṣṭaṃ kimahaṃ sūcitā gatā |
sūkṣmāsmi hataśaktiśca api grāso na māti ca || 3 ||

She thought in herself, O pity it is! that I came to be a vile needle; with so weak and slender a body, that I can take nothing for my food.
