The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

संवित्स्वप्नार्थयोर्द्वित्वं न कदाचन लभ्यते ।
यथा द्रवत्वपयसोर्यथा वा स्पन्दवातयोः ॥ ४७ ॥

saṃvitsvapnārthayordvitvaṃ na kadācana labhyate |
yathā dravatvapayasoryathā vā spandavātayoḥ || 47 ||

We do not find our dreams and desires, as distinct from our consciousness of them; they appertain to it in the same manner, as fluidity to water and motion to the air.
