The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यन्न शक्नोमि तस्यार्थे यदि दुःखं करोम्यहम् ।
तदमारितमृत्योर्मे युक्तं प्रत्यहरोदनम् ॥ २२ ॥

yanna śaknomi tasyārthe yadi duḥkhaṃ karomyaham |
tadamāritamṛtyorme yuktaṃ pratyaharodanam || 22 ||

If I should sorrow for what I have not the power to prevent, I must then weep all the days of my life because I am not to be spared by death.
