The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 1.2.240; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

श्री-भागवतं यथा —
शङ्के नीताः सपदि दशम-स्कन्ध-पद्यावलीनां
वर्णाः कर्णाध्वनि पथि कतामानुपुर्व्याद् भवद्भिः ।
हंहो दिम्भाः परम-शुभदान् हन्त धर्मार्थ-कामान्
यद् गर्हन्तः सुखमयम् अमी मोक्षम् अप्य् आक्षिपन्ति ॥१.२.२४०॥śrī-bhāgavataṃ yathā —
śaṅke nītāḥ sapadi daśama-skandha-padyāvalīnāṃ
varṇāḥ karṇādhvani pathi katāmānupurvyād bhavadbhiḥ |
haṃho dimbhāḥ parama-śubhadān hanta dharmārtha-kāmān
yad garhantaḥ sukhamayam amī mokṣam apy ākṣipanti ||1.2.240||
English translation
The power of hearing Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam:
“O idiots, how unfortunate you are! I think that you must have been hearing, one by one, the syllables of the verses of the Tenth Canto of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, because your ears are now denouncing the most auspicious goals of dharma, artha, kāma, and even decrying the fourth goal of mokṣa, which is most blissful.”
