The Udanavarga is a collection of Sanskrit verses representing aphorisms attributed to the Buddha and his disciples. The Udanavarga resembles the Pali Dhammapada and Udana, yet it belong the ancient tradition of early Buddhism. Alternative titles: Udānavarga (उदानवर्ग).
Verse 12.18
शुभं समाधिं मनसा निबन्धयेद् विवेकजं भावयित्वाप्रमाणम् ।
प्रदालयित्वा त्रिभिर् आलयांस् त्रीन् जहाति बन्धान् निपकः प्रतिस्मृतः ॥ १८ ॥
śubhaṃ samādhiṃ manasā nibandhayed vivekajaṃ bhāvayitvāpramāṇam |
pradālayitvā tribhir ālayāṃs trīn jahāti bandhān nipakaḥ pratismṛtaḥ || 18 ||
