The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 11.20

कृष्यादिभिर्धर्मभिरन्वितानां कामात्मकानां च निशम्य दुःखम् ।
स्वास्थ्यं च कामेष्वकुतूहलानां कामान् विहातुं क्षममात्मवद्भिः ॥ २० ॥

kṛṣyādibhirdharmabhiranvitānāṃ kāmātmakānāṃ ca niśamya duḥkham |
svāsthyaṃ ca kāmeṣvakutūhalānāṃ kāmān vihātuṃ kṣamamātmavadbhiḥ || 20 ||

'When they hear of the miseries of those who are intent on pleasure and are devoted to worldly pursuits, such as agriculture and the rest, and the self-content of those who are careless of pleasure, it well befits the self-controlled to fling it away.
