The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 10.40

सुवर्णकेयूरविदष्टबाहवो मणिप्रदीपोज्ज्वलचित्रमौलयः ।
नृपर्षयस्तां हि गतिं गता मखैः श्रमेण यामेव महार्षयो ययुः ॥ ४० ॥

suvarṇakeyūravidaṣṭabāhavo maṇipradīpojjvalacitramaulayaḥ |
nṛparṣayastāṃ hi gatiṃ gatā makhaiḥ śrameṇa yāmeva mahārṣayo yayuḥ || 40 ||

'With their arms pressed by golden bracelets, and their variegated diadems resplendent with the light of gems, royal sages have reached the same goal by sacrifices which great sages reached by self-mortification.'
