The Buddha Carita (Saddharma-pundarika) by Asvaghosa a famous Sanskrit text revolving around the live and exploits of the Buddha. The Buddha Carita (Buddhacarita) is written in the style of a Kavya (or Mahakavya, epic poetry) and extant original Sanskrit text consists of roughly 1,000 metrical verses.

Verse 3.24

अयं किल व्यायतपीनबाहू रूपेण साक्षादिव पुष्पकेतुः ।
त्यक्त्वा श्रियं धर्ममुपेष्यतीति तस्मिन् हिता गौरवमेव चक्रुः ॥ २४ ॥

ayaṃ kila vyāyatapīnabāhū rūpeṇa sākṣādiva puṣpaketuḥ |
tyaktvā śriyaṃ dharmamupeṣyatīti tasmin hitā gauravameva cakruḥ || 24 ||

'He with the long sturdy arms, who stands in his beauty like the flower-armed god visibly present, will leave his royal pomp and devote himself to religion,' thus thinking, full of kindly feelings towards him, they all offered reverence.
