This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 76.100

तं अवच मतिसारो दशांगुलिं प्रणामयित्वा ।
नैतानि धरणिपाल धनानि पण्डितस्य भाव्यानि ॥ १०० ॥

taṃ avaca matisāro daśāṃguliṃ praṇāmayitvā |
naitāni dharaṇipāla dhanāni paṇḍitasya bhāvyāni || 100 ||

Matisara holding out his joined hands replied, “O king, these are not the things that are good in the eyes of an intelligent man. (100)
