This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 65.7

यादृशा मे पुरा दृष्टा लोकनाथा महायशाः ।
तेषां तुवं पि सदृशो अत्र मे नास्ति संशयः ॥ ७ ॥

yādṛśā me purā dṛṣṭā lokanāthā mahāyaśāḥ |
teṣāṃ tuvaṃ pi sadṛśo atra me nāsti saṃśayaḥ || 7 ||

“Thou art like the great and glorious Saviours of the world whom I saw of yore. I have no doubt of this. (7)
