This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 52.131

हिमवन्तपादपार्श्वे नगरं कपिलाह्वयन्ति विख्यातं ।
दिशविदिशविश्रुतयशं प्रमुदितनरनारिसंकीर्णं ॥ १३१ ॥

himavantapādapārśve nagaraṃ kapilāhvayanti vikhyātaṃ |
diśavidiśaviśrutayaśaṃ pramuditanaranārisaṃkīrṇaṃ || 131 ||

“On the lower slopes of the Himalayas there is a city called Kapilavastu, which is renowned far and wide. (131)
