This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 7.36

पर्वतस्य वैहायवरस्य उत्तरस्मि तीरे वरपार्श्वे ।
विविधपादपे शिलातलभूमेः भागे यं भवतु धर्मसमास्या ॥ ३६ ॥

parvatasya vaihāyavarasya uttarasmi tīre varapārśve |
vividhapādape śilātalabhūmeḥ bhāge yaṃ bhavatu dharmasamāsyā || 36 ||

“On the northern slope of Mount Vaihaya, on a rocky-surfaced spot of earth shaded by divers trees. There let the council of dharma be held (36)
