The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अग्नेरौष्ण्यमपां शैत्यं प्राकाश्यं सर्वतेजसाम् ।
स्वभावो वाखिलार्थानां किमबुद्धस्य कारणम् ॥ २५ ॥

agnerauṣṇyamapāṃ śaityaṃ prākāśyaṃ sarvatejasām |
svabhāvo vākhilārthānāṃ kimabuddhasya kāraṇam || 25 ||

Is the heat of fire, the coldness of water, and the light of luminous bodies, and the natures of things their respective causes, as the ignorant suppose them to be?
