The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

क्वचित्प्रमृतवैरिञ्चहंससस्मितपङ्कभूः ।
क्वचित्पङ्कविनिर्मग्नदेहार्धामरवारणः ॥ २३ ॥

kvacitpramṛtavairiñcahaṃsasasmitapaṅkabhūḥ |
kvacitpaṅkavinirmagnadehārdhāmaravāraṇaḥ || 23 ||

There were the remains of the dead hansa of Brahma, muddled in the mire somewhere, and the relics of Indra's elephant were huddled in the mud in another place.
