The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.81.17

कुमारबर्हिपिच्छौघैर्ब्राह्ममूर्धजमण्डलैः ।
लाञ्छितोच्चसुराधीशशिरःखट्वाङ्गमण्डला ॥ १७ ॥

kumārabarhipicchaughairbrāhmamūrdhajamaṇḍalaiḥ |
lāñchitoccasurādhīśaśiraḥkhaṭvāṅgamaṇḍalā || 17 ||

The braid of hair on the top of her head, was adorned with feathers of male and young peacocks; and defied the crowned head of the lord of Gods (i.e. Indra), and the circlet of his discus.
