The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
युक्तियुक्ते तयेत्युक्ते विद्याधर्या धरोरसि ।
बद्धपद्मासनोऽथाहं समाधाबुदितोऽभवम् ॥ २ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
yuktiyukte tayetyukte vidyādharyā dharorasi |
baddhapadmāsano'thāhaṃ samādhābudito'bhavam || 2 ||

Vasishtha said:—After the celestial nymph had spoken in this manner, I retired to the cavern of a rock, where I sat in my posture of Padmasana (or legs folded upon one another); and became engaged in my samadhi-devotion.
