The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

समागमेषु कान्तानामुत्सवेषूदयेषु च ।
आनन्दं भज सौम्यात्मा वासनाक्रान्तमूढवत् ॥ ५ ॥

samāgameṣu kāntānāmutsaveṣūdayeṣu ca |
ānandaṃ bhaja saumyātmā vāsanākrāntamūḍhavat || 5 ||

You are delighted in the company of your consorts, and feel joyous at the approach of festivity and prosperity; and it is because you are tempted like ignorant people, by your fond desire of pleasure.
