The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भाः स्वभावसमुत्पन्ना ब्रह्मस्फुरणशक्तयः ।
काश्चिद्ब्रह्माण्डतां यान्ति काश्चिद्गच्छन्ति भूतताम् ॥ १३ ॥

bhāḥ svabhāvasamutpannā brahmasphuraṇaśaktayaḥ |
kāścidbrahmāṇḍatāṃ yānti kāścidgacchanti bhūtatām || 13 ||

The inherent powers of Brahma, evolve themselves as shining sparks of fire; and some of these assume the forms of the luminous worlds;while others appear in the shapes of living souls.
