The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.80.46

स्पर्शनं मृदुनान्योन्यालिङ्गिका तत्र यन्त्रयोः ।
यथा संविदुदेत्युच्चैस्तथा कुण्डलिनी जवात् ॥ ४६ ॥

sparśanaṃ mṛdunānyonyāliṅgikā tatra yantrayoḥ |
yathā saṃvidudetyuccaistathā kuṇḍalinī javāt || 46 ||

The Kundalini artery stirs as quickly to grasp its gross objects, as our consciousness is roused at the perception of the object of the finer senses of sight &c. These come in contact with one another, as an instrument lays hold of some material.
