The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

नानागारांश्च तत्रासौ प्रवाहपतितांश्च तान् ।
पौरांश्च मन्त्रिणश्चैव शमी भिक्षामयाचत ॥ १० ॥

nānāgārāṃśca tatrāsau pravāhapatitāṃśca tān |
paurāṃśca mantriṇaścaiva śamī bhikṣāmayācata || 10 ||

There while he was wandering from door to door, as he was led about by the current of time; he was observed by the citizens and ministers to be begging their alms.
