The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.46.10

अधोमुखान्यूर्ध्वमुखान्यपि तिर्यङ्मुखानि च ।
मिथोमिलितमूलानि मिथःप्रोतमुखान्यपि ॥ १० ॥

adhomukhānyūrdhvamukhānyapi tiryaṅmukhāni ca |
mithomilitamūlāni mithaḥprotamukhānyapi || 10 ||

There are many flowers with their up lifted and down cast heads, and others with their petals hanging before them; some having a combined or common footstalk, and others growing separate and apart from one another; some are concealed and others manifest to view.
