The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.26.28

यदा यदा मुने किंचिद्विजानामि तदा तदा ।
मतिरायाति नौद्धत्यं तेन जीवाम्यनामयः ॥ २८ ॥

yadā yadā mune kiṃcidvijānāmi tadā tadā |
matirāyāti nauddhatyaṃ tena jīvāmyanāmayaḥ || 28 ||

Whenever, O Sage, I come to know the truth, I never feel proud of my knowledge, but desire to learn more about it; and this increasing desire of knowledge, has increased my life without its concomitant infirmity.
