The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

देहमन्यतया दृष्ट्वा त्यक्त्वा विषयवासनाम् ।
विनाशमुररीकृत्य मनो जयति वीरवत् ॥ ५० ॥

dehamanyatayā dṛṣṭvā tyaktvā viṣayavāsanām |
vināśamurarīkṛtya mano jayati vīravat || 50 ||

As the hero boldly faces his death, with the thought of his ascending to heaven, by fighting bravely in battle, so the mind conquers all impediments by casting off all its worldly desires and attachments.
