The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रतिजन्म चिरं बह्व्यो दीर्घदुःखवता मया ।
त्वया मयोपदिष्टेन दग्धेनापहतौजसा ॥ ११ ॥

pratijanma ciraṃ bahvyo dīrghaduḥkhavatā mayā |
tvayā mayopadiṣṭena dagdhenāpahataujasā || 11 ||

I have undergone many tribulations in the long course of past lives, and it was by thy will that I became bereft of my strength, and was burnt away at last.
