The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न तस्मादधिकः कश्चिदस्ति लोकत्रयान्तरे ।
प्रलयस्थितिसर्गाणां हरिः कारणतां गतः ॥ ३६ ॥

na tasmādadhikaḥ kaścidasti lokatrayāntare |
pralayasthitisargāṇāṃ hariḥ kāraṇatāṃ gataḥ || 36 ||

There is no one greater than him in all the three worlds; for I come to know, that it is Hari only, who is the sole cause of the creation, sustentation and destruction or reproduction of the world.
