The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.22.31

पुनर्दिनैककलनाशर्वरीसंस्थितिः पुनः ।
पुनस्तान्येव कर्माणि लज्जायै नच तुष्टये ॥ ३१ ॥

punardinaikakalanāśarvarīsaṃsthitiḥ punaḥ |
punastānyeva karmāṇi lajjāyai naca tuṣṭaye || 31 ||

There is the same rotation of days and nights in unvarying succession, and the repetition of the same acts day after day. It is rather shameful and no way pleasant to any one, to continue in the same unvaried course of life for a great length of time.
