The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.13.115

विभेत्येषापि वीणायास्तन्त्रीगुणतनुध्वनेः ।
बन्धोरपि सनिद्रस्य विभेति वदनद्युतेः ॥ ११५ ॥

vibhetyeṣāpi vīṇāyāstantrīguṇatanudhvaneḥ |
bandhorapi sanidrasya vibheti vadanadyuteḥ || 115 ||

These men are insensible of the soft tunes of the lute who are accustomed to the loud beatings of drum, and they are startled at seeing the face of a sleeping friend.
