The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 5.12.20

दुरुत्तरा या विपदो दुःखकल्लोलसंकुलाः ।
तीर्यते प्रज्ञया ताभ्यो नावापद्भ्यो महामते ॥ २० ॥

duruttarā yā vipado duḥkhakallolasaṃkulāḥ |
tīryate prajñayā tābhyo nāvāpadbhyo mahāmate || 20 ||

It is by means of his percipience, that one is enabled to cross over the sea of dangers; as a passenger goes across a river in a boat or raft.
