The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.61.7

अब्धिवद्भुतमर्यादा भवन्ति भवता समाः ।
अतस्तेषां महाबाहो पदमापदवासनम् ॥ ७ ॥

abdhivadbhutamaryādā bhavanti bhavatā samāḥ |
atasteṣāṃ mahābāho padamāpadavāsanam || 7 ||

They keep in their bounds, as the sea remains within its boundaries, and are meek like yourself in their even tempers. Hence they never desire nor wish for any thing in the world.
