The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.57.36

सर्वत्र पञ्चभूतानि षष्ठं किंचिन्न विद्यते ।
पाताले भूतले स्वर्गे रतिमेतु क्व धीरधीः ॥ ३६ ॥

sarvatra pañcabhūtāni ṣaṣṭhaṃ kiṃcinna vidyate |
pātāle bhūtale svarge ratimetu kva dhīradhīḥ || 36 ||

I see every place filled by the five elements, and a sixth is not to be seen any where in the world. Such being the case every where, what else can I expect to find in earth or heaven or in the regions below.
