The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 4.28.14

शैलास्त्रशस्त्रगरुडाचलचालितोच्चनागं महासुरगणाङ्गणमन्तरिक्षम् ।
आसीत्क्षणं जलधिभिः क्षणमग्निपूरैः पूर्णं क्षणं दिनकरैः क्षणमन्धकारैः ॥ १४ ॥

śailāstraśastragaruḍācalacālitoccanāgaṃ mahāsuragaṇāṅgaṇamantarikṣam |
āsītkṣaṇaṃ jaladhibhiḥ kṣaṇamagnipūraiḥ pūrṇaṃ kṣaṇaṃ dinakaraiḥ kṣaṇamandhakāraiḥ || 14 ||

The stone missiles which were thrown by the Garuda engine, to the aerial battle field of the gods, emitted at intervals water and fire, and sometimes shone as the sun, and at others became altogether dark.
