The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.113.30

सुखितस्याल्पतामेति दुःखितस्यैति दीर्घताम् ।
कालो यस्याः प्रसादेन विपर्यासैकशीलिनाम् ॥ ३० ॥

sukhitasyālpatāmeti duḥkhitasyaiti dīrghatām |
kālo yasyāḥ prasādena viparyāsaikaśīlinām || 30 ||

It is this delusive avidya, that shortens the flight of time to the rich and happy; and prolongs its course, with the poor and miserable: all of whom are subject to the power of delusion vipary'asa.
