The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.111.34

छिन्नान्येव तदाङ्गानि चित्तस्येति मतिर्मम ।
अयं सोऽहमिदं तन्म एतावन्मात्रकं मनः ॥ ३४ ॥

chinnānyeva tadāṅgāni cittasyeti matirmama |
ayaṃ so'hamidaṃ tanma etāvanmātrakaṃ manaḥ || 34 ||

By lopping the members of the mind, you cut it off altogether; and these being egoism and selfishness which compose the essence of the mind. Shun your sense that 'it is I' and 'these are mine.'
