The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्वभ्रेणेव कुमञ्जर्यश्चिरमूढा मयापदः ।
स्वकालकुलकोणासु नरकोद्दामभूमिषु ॥ ४० ॥

śvabhreṇeva kumañjaryaściramūḍhā mayāpadaḥ |
svakālakulakoṇāsu narakoddāmabhūmiṣu || 40 ||

But I underwent many a difficulty, which multiplied as thickly upon me, as the weeds growing in dales; and I moved about all the corners of that hellish spot, during my destined time.
