The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.96.7

यथा वह्न्यौष्ण्ययोः सत्ता न संभवति भिन्नयोः ।
तथैव कर्ममनसोस्तथात्ममनसोरपि ॥ ७ ॥

yathā vahnyauṣṇyayoḥ sattā na saṃbhavati bhinnayoḥ |
tathaiva karmamanasostathātmamanasorapi || 7 ||

As there is no difference in the essence of fire and heat; so there is no difference whatever between mind and its activity, and so betwixt the mind and soul.
