The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भानुरुवाच ।
अथेन्द्रेणैवमुक्तोऽसौ राजा राजीवलोचनः ।
मुनिं भरतनामानं पार्श्वसंस्थमुवाच ह ॥ १ ॥

bhānuruvāca |
athendreṇaivamukto'sau rājā rājīvalocanaḥ |
muniṃ bharatanāmānaṃ pārśvasaṃsthamuvāca ha || 1 ||

The sol said:—The lotus-eyed king thus defied by this perverse Indra, addressed the sage Bharata, who was sitting by him.
