The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.86.30

भाषमाणेष्वथैतेषु ज्येष्ठो भ्राता महामतिः ।
गम्भीरवागुवाचेदं मृगयूथान्मृगो यथा ॥ ३० ॥

bhāṣamāṇeṣvathaiteṣu jyeṣṭho bhrātā mahāmatiḥ |
gambhīravāguvācedaṃ mṛgayūthānmṛgo yathā || 30 ||

As they were talking in this manner, they were interrupted by the eldest brother, with a voice as grave, as that of the leader of a herd of deer to the attentive flock.
