The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रचण्डपवनोद्धूतात्पुष्पाणीव महातरोः ।
अयःपिण्डादिवोत्तप्तात्ताडितात्कणपङ्कयः ॥ ९ ॥

pracaṇḍapavanoddhūtātpuṣpāṇīva mahātaroḥ |
ayaḥpiṇḍādivottaptāttāḍitātkaṇapaṅkayaḥ || 9 ||

Shells and bullets were flying about as sparks of fire struck out of the balls of red-hot iron, and falling as flowers of forests, blown away by gusts of wind.
