The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कौन्तक्षेत्राः प्रस्थवासैः स्थित्वा योधिभिरावृताः ।
गुणा इव खलाक्रान्ता गता व्यक्तमशक्तताम् ॥ ५५ ॥

kauntakṣetrāḥ prasthavāsaiḥ sthitvā yodhibhirāvṛtāḥ |
guṇā iva khalākrāntā gatā vyaktamaśaktatām || 55 ||

The Kauntas were surrounded by Prastha warriors, and were defeated like good people by the treachery of the wily.
