223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.21.60

यथा सत्यपरिज्ञानाद्रज्ज्वा सर्पो न दृश्यते ।
तथातिवाहिकज्ञानाद्दृश्यते नाधिभौतिकः ॥ ६० ॥

yathā satyaparijñānādrajjvā sarpo na dṛśyate |
tathātivāhikajñānāddṛśyate nādhibhautikaḥ || 60 ||

Thus, as the true knowledge of the rope, removes the erroneous conception of the snake in it, so the recognition of the spiritual body, dispels the misconception of its materiality.
