The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.18.63

अकारणे कारणता यद्बोधायोपमीयते ।
न तत्र सर्वसाधर्म्यं संभवत्युपमाश्रमैः ॥ ६३ ॥

akāraṇe kāraṇatā yadbodhāyopamīyate |
na tatra sarvasādharmyaṃ saṃbhavatyupamāśramaiḥ || 63 ||

Whenever a causality is shown by a simile of something which is no cause, there the simile is applied in some particular and not all its general attributes.
